Leigh Sutherland is a solo musician from Perth, Australia, who writes hook driven, perfectly balanced pop melodies, that co-exist happily with hard rock riffs & solid beats. A positive outlook, life, people, and the outdoors all influence his music, giving it a unique personality. Sutherlands’s songs have wide appeal while possessing depth and longevity.

Sutherland spent sixteen years as the drummer for New Zealand rock band Anaham before leaving to record his solo album. He credits everyone from Deep Purple, The Who, and Led Zeppelin, to Pearl Jam, The John Butler Trio, and Paul Kelly for influencing his creative style, which is evident in his latest release, but it doesn’t lack a unique touch from Sutherland himself.

With the release of his new EP Nature’s Stage, Sutherland has built a strong name for himself, and continues to build a international fan base with radio play all over the world. Leigh describes his first experience recording as a solo artist as his most satisfying career highlight to date. As a truly diverse musician, playing every instrument and singing on his album, Sutherland has proven his is nothing short of a force to be reckon with. We look forward to Sutherland’s next masterpiece and you should too.
