Blog Entry #3: Our last entry!

Hey everybody! A couple of weeks ago we took some new shots of the band, since we didn’t have any with our new bass player Daniel. So drove out to the little village called Harlösa, were Daniel and his family lives. His mother runs a little antique/interior decoration shop and she suggested that we’d do the band pics in her store. We managed to get some sweet enviroment settings inside and the results are pretty great, here’s one of the photos:

Since we’re all in the picture, we thought we’d introduce ourselves individually, from left to right:

Ola Sandberg is first out, and he is one of the two guitarists of the band. He is just about to start attending a school in Växjö (were Olle lives) to study music production and audio engineering. He is a real gear nerd, well a nerd overall, like the rest of us. He also enjoys photographing and long walks on the beach.

Then we have Keyloth Perez, the other guitarist of While Giants Sleep. He is currently about to start his fourth (of five) year of engineering/industrial design studies. He lives with his girlfriend in WGS’ hometown Eslöv and when he is in school och rehearsing, he likes to play video games and follow the NHL (Go Ducks!). He is also the person writing this. Weird to write about yourself in 3d person…

Our singer Josef Molin is in the middle of the picture, which wasn’t intentional. We try hard not to make Josef look like our frontman, but we failed on this one! Josef is also lives in Eslöv and is about to start studying to become a high school teacher. He is a follower of many sports, but he holds UFC and ice hockey closest to his heart (bandwagon Canucks fan right here).

Then we have Daniel, our bass player and our newest and youngest member. He is from Iceland and he talks like Sigur Ros sings, it’s crazy. He has studied to become a sound technician and producer and is now between jobs. He lives in a ghost town outside of Eslöv called Harlösa and on his spare time (which is a lot these days) he writes his own music, listens to music, and plays a lot of bass (we presume).

Finally we have Olle Ekberg, our drummer. He lives in Växjö (which is located a couple of hours from here) with his girlfriend and is currently working as a drummer in a great band called While Giants Sleep. He is also an enthusiast of the NHL, but unfortunately he is a Red Wings fan. He is a music nerd and has studied music theory in his recent years.

Well, thats all for us folks, I hope you liked our blog entries! We are now of to new adventures, with our first ever live gig as While Giants Sleep coming up in a couple of days. It’s gonna be awesome to come out and play these songs, and some new ones! After that we’re probably gonna play a lot more shows and continue to write more material, so we can have a new release as soon as possible. Stay tuned, cause While Giants Sleep are here to stay.
